Meatal stenosis is a narrowing of the opening of the urethra, the tube through which urine leaves the body. It affects more common in males and females but males become more victim of it.


In men, Following are the main symptoms:

  • Swelling
  • Inflammation
  • hematuria
  • Irritation
  • Abnormal tissue growth
  • Frequent urination
  • Damaged bladder function
  • Scarring across ureteral opening
  • Abdominal strength and direction of urine stream
  • Bed wetting
  • incontinence

Risk factor:

The main risk factors are:

  • Cystoscopy
  • Atrophic vaginitis
