Adiposis dolorosa is also known as dercum disease. It is a rare disease that is associated with many other issues. It is might be associated with obesity, emotional features or fatigue. Females are more likely to develop this disease than men. Tumors are painful and present in multiples on extremities. It occurs in the age of 35-50 years. The obese people are mostly found in this disease. It characterized by obesity and fatty tumor in adipose tissue.

Causes of adiposis dolorosa

The main cause of the disease is unknown. The possible causes of the disease are nervous system dysfunction, mechanical pressure on nerves, trauma and adipose tissue dysfunction. It is also known as adiposis dolorosa and Anders disease. It characterized by obesity and fatty tumors in adipose tissue.
